Graduate Student Awards
2007-2008
Graduate students are invited to apply for awards recognizing research accomplishments and grants to help enable travel for scientific/educational purposes. The types of awards and the application procedures are a little different then those announced last year. All research award winners will have the award monies deposited into their student account, half in the fall and half in the spring. This year we anticipate that our budget will allow for the following awards:
| Graduate Research Awards ranging from $2000-$4000 each to acknowledge important research accomplishments (in any field) | |
| Dalalian Awards , ranging from $2000-$4000 each to acknowledge important research accomplishments in organic chemistry or closely related fields | |
| Travel Awards of less than $1000 each to assist students in presenting new results at scientific meetings (as well as to support travel for other purposes) |
Students should apply for awards with the support of their research
advisor. For research awards, faculty will be required to submit a
recommendation form on the student's behalf.
