Beth Essinger-Hileman

Beth is a third-year graduate student working with Ray Schaak. Beth’s hometown is Masontown, PA and she received a B.S. in Chemistry and Forensic Science from the University of New Haven, CT. Her current research involves using bacteriophage M13 and phage display to identify material specific peptides and to probe the degree of specificity that these peptides have for the target material. Beth also enjoys sharing her love of science with younger students through outreach opportunities with various organizations.
