Development of Research Projects in Undergraduate Laboratory Courses

The introduction of research methodologies in the undergraduate laboratory provides students with an opportunity to experience independent problem based learning in a research setting. The projects are designed to expose the students to the following topics: searching and reading chemical literature, proposal writing, time management, team building, laboratory bench techniques, modern chemical analyses, formal report writing and poster presentations.
