On-Line Application

As an applicant to our graduate program, we ask you to complete both our own Chemistry Application and the Graduate School Application. We utilize the input from both applications when considering applicants for our program. Please proceed with the application process.

Complete the on-line application and an account will be created for you. This account allows you to log back in and update your application. The submission deadline for all materials for those who received their B.S. or B.A. from an U.S. Institution is January 31, 2008. The submission deadline for all materials for those who did not receive their B.S. or B.A. from an U.S. Institution is December 14, 2007.


     

2. Graduate School Application
(Does not reflect Chemistry status)                                    

Complete the Graduate School on-line application. Please check the "will send check or money order" on the Graduate Application form. The Chemistry Department does not require this fee to be paid unless we make you an Official Admissions offer. If you submit the fee, it is non-refundable.

4. Application Status        
You may check the status of your application to our program by logging back in.

Please do not send extra materials (i.e. publications, vitae) with your application. They will not be included in the materials viewed by the Admissions Committee. Thank you

  • Your personal statement, submitted via the on-line application, is to be no more than 5000 characters with spaces in length.

  • Two official transcripts from all institutions of higher education attended, both undergraduate and graduate. International applicants must submit official or attested university records, with certified translations if the records are not in English. Notarized copies are not sufficient, use the appropriate form in #3. Required Application Materials.

  • The GRE subject test in chemistry is optional. Institution Code: R2660, Department Code: 0301.

  • Three letters of recommendation from persons who are familiar with the applicant's qualifications to study graduate level Chemistry. We require the use of the Letter of Recommendation Form (pdf) provided.

  • TOEFL Score (did not receive your B.S./B.A. from an U.S. Institution). Minimum score for consideration is 620. Institution Code: 2660, Departmental Code: 62. For more information, see http://www.ets.org.
