Items cannot contain hazardous materials. If you have materials that have been exposed to hazardous materials, it must be cleared for disposal by Environmental Health and Safety.

Disposing of Computers with Hard Drives

If your computer hard drive contains information classified by the University and IPAS as Internal/Controlled or Restricted, then remove the hard drive(s) from the computer, box them up separately, and make a note in the location box above in the disposition form that hard drives are boxed up separately, where they are located and to pick them up with other items and then "crush them" upon arrival at Surplus and Salvage.
